The session aims to discuss and critically evaluate a recently published journal for the purpose of facilitating the application of evidence-based medicine. This enables the participants to have quick update on the latest studresults and recommendations that are relevant to local practice.Furthermore, ain-depth analysis of the journal article’s methodology will be conducted, and series of analysis on the study’s strengths and limitations will be tackledWith this, a synthesis of the study will be done to potentially yield valuable insights that will aid the participants in furthering their knowledge and practice. Lastly, a literature review will also be conducted to compare its results to other similar studies currently available.

The webinar aims to 

  1. Raise awareness on updates regarding safety of locally available medications from different regulatory agencies around the globe and available published literatures 
  2. Provide adequate information on the adverse effects reported (e.g. risk factors, dependencies, onset, duration, severity) 
  3. Instruct on the preventive and monitoring strategies needed to address the safety announcements 
  4. Discuss how the information can be translated to their respective patients 
  5. Equip participants with proper understanding on the current state of knowledge on the different drug-related safety announcements 

At the end of the webinar, the participants will be able to 

  1. Keep an up-to-date information on drug safety that will be crucial for his/her clinical practice 
  2. Understand the implications of drug use in particular set of patients which may be more susceptible to adverse effects
